EMDR or Brainspotting Therapy Sessions

$85.00

EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is one of the most effective means of helping the mind process through and take away the sting of past and present traumas. Movement of the eyes, bilateral tapping or tapping hands on opposite arms, legs or tapping fingers even can help the body rewire and reset the memory and energetic pathways of the traumatic memories. Certain types of music called bilateral stimulation music or lights which flash in specific patterns can even be used with great effect to help the body help the mind heal.

Brainspotting is the grandchild of the EMDR realm, with a simplified means of delivery with all the effectiveness of the EMDR session. One finger really can do it all! The targeting for this treatment is a bit more specific, as rather than using a broader field of view or other means, a single point in the field of view which holds an “energetic charge” and trigger is found and used as a focus point for the client, allowing that one “spot” in the brain to clear the sting, discomfort and negative emotional charge of the trauma.
